Hiking for a Cause

Since I started to dream of doing the Pacific Crest Trail, I have been thinking of why I should do the Pacific Crest Trail.  Outside of my need for adventure and healing, I also want to raise money for something that I believe in.  Through my job as a caretaker prior to becoming a full-time hiker, I have been honored in being able to help those who need it most.  And in my job, I have found that one of the hardest diseases for any person to go through is Parkinson's.

Parkinson's disease (PD) is a neurodegenerative brain disorder that progresses slowly in most people. Most people's symptoms take years to develop, and they live for years with the disease.

That is why I have selected the National Parkinson Foundation.  Please help me in contributing!  I am looking to raise at least a dollar per mile.  That's $2,659!  With your help I know you can help me achieve this goal.
